Blues Incorporated broke up in 1966, a very short lived band. I recommend the album "Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton" as an introduction to John Mayall, and Eric's playing is brilliant, outstanding, and very, very loud! Thanks ethel Ill give it a try. The Sky programme, after considering Blues Incorporated went on at length about the The Animals as a fundamentally important blues band and then considered at length The Yardbirds . I never liked The House OTRS (heard it too many times) and never took much of a look at either if these bands. I see that the album music might be a better guide than the singles in both cases. Happy exploring captainconfident! It might not be your cup of tea, as music is such a subjective thing, but worth a listen once I think. I like The Animals a lot, always have. Not over familiar with the Yardbirds, only the singles and the stuff Eric did with them.

Johnny Kidd, Johnny Burnette, Screaming Lord Such. If you haven't seen it, there is a really great documentary about Screaming Lord Such and the Savages from 1965 which really captures the spirit if the enterprise, and with a genuinely poignant bit when the guitarist reads out the fanmail. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jFBk-1H1ww&t=685s

Great stuff! I never saw him live so it was great to see it. he was doing it years before Alice Cooper!

I don't think this got noted when it happened a few weeks ago, but Graham Thorpe, England batsman, at age 52. No cause was given, and I thought at the time I hope it wasn't suicide. Given the age. And strangely cricketers, but particularly high level batsmen, seem to have a propensity for extreme stress/mental health issues. Sadly it has now been confirmed by his family that he took his own life. link

What a player. Haven't looked it up but I'm sure I watched him get a 100 in his first test. There was also the test series in Pakistan which he won for England batting in the 'dark'

Resting in peace may be totally accurate in this case but it always leaves those left with a 'guilt' that never really goes away.

Had suffered from depression for some time and had previously tried to take his own life, believing his family would be better off without him. A great loss.

Some bloke who appears to have written practically half the top 20 throughout the 80s. RIP. so that's basically one tune with 183 variations then
