Was away at the weekend and lost my wallet ( pretty sure in taxi on way back to hotel )
So put bank card on hold yesterday whilst tried to locate it,
this morning starting process of replacing cards
Bank Card Online through App Tesco card ditto Iceland card have to phone, and Gordon Bennett the amount of security questions ... and they will send a new card then I have to phone to get balance moved over ... Library card I have to go in in person with proof of ID etc
Nectar and perhaps only a few will understand this 2 security codes with a few minute expiry, one expired before the code even arrived
so it appears that the lesser cards have most security

I have £20 of free shopping waiting for me on my card at the moment - and that's after getting £50 off last summer.

Sorry to hear that.
It’s probably the same when losing the personal device of my digital footprint. Restoring the backup on a new device wouldn’t make it identical, and I have to get past security of all those gate keepers.
I have to simplify my life so I don’t even carry a wallet or phone when I go out on some occasions. Technology has allowed us to shop without carrying a wallet or phone. Definitely can’t see the point storing 100s card in a small wallet.
For groceries loyalty card, I just remember the number and enter manually.

Before reading, I thought you meant inside the house. I'm not sure if its a feature of house size, older age, lack of rigour in my organisation or all three, but I'm constantly losing things. Now, for the millionth time, where are my damn glasses ? !

TBH, I thought losing things are easy to do, recovering the items , assets or even relationships these days are more difficult

My issue is keys... I'm thinking about those airtag things ot android equivalent. The cost seems small V stress of losing keys.

Others I know swear by them.

Put one in your hold luggage and you can always see where your case is (even if it's not on the same flight as you are)

Will have a look at tiles. Amazon were doing a 4 pack deal. Great idea re flight luggage. I was also thinking of dropping one in the motorhome.

When looking at tiles, just note that there are different levels of tile. I have the Pro. I have a MoHo, but Tiles won't be any use for tracking. 'Cos they work on Bluetooth. You need something that works from a GPS or a separate satellite signal. Likewise for luggage (great idea that by the way).
