My understanding is that what little funds have been distributed, are not really given out in a truely philanthropic way
so for example 5 of his kids were amongst those attending an exclusive school part funded by the charity
most donations are to staff or Musks per projects

He paid $0 income tax, as he claims to have no income, only share options and dividends. If you wanted to attack a billionaire why would you go for Musk (or Gates or Besos for that matter) who has at least achieved a huge amount in his life.
Contrast that to so many others. Arab oil billionaires, Russian Oligarchs etc most of whom just wander around the world on their mega yachts and do absolutely nothing interesting, innovative or even helpful to their fellow personkind* .
Or you hate Musk more than a typical billionaire slob because of his right wing politics ?
