So Slovakia beat Belgium. Now for Austria to beat France  . EDIT: Not that I'd put money on it. Belgium was a shock, but I'd stuck £20 on France. Even at 5/8, they seemed a value bet.

I heard some Portuguese fans back home would rather watch a movie last night after disappointment in the first half.

I have a feeling those supporting Portugal didn't trust the Italian referree in that match.  The Czech asked for the check and goal disallowed very quickly. |

All that technology but we can only process one sub at a time.

I was watching one match of AFCON earlier this year. The game was host in SA, but the commentators were talking foreign language which I can’t understand 50% at the time, no subs from SA sourced live stream

I think England have always been the worst top team after taking the lead, they are clueless. They've been in front in most of the big games that they have lost over the decades.
One thing is for certain Gareth Southgate will win nothing like when he was playing. He's a good guy though.

Well, watching the match now and they are indeed clueless. Arise Sir Gareth and on to the next manager. And if we ever aspire to win something, the name of this manager shall be .. Juergen Klopp. Unless he has been previously appointed King as per my previous suggestion.

I think England have a history of producing players who;
- Look world class when playing in domestic competitions, and
- Look domestic class when playing in world competitions.
