As this has been discussed on multiple other thread I thought it best to coagulate this into a single thread. Today I was invited to the RateSetter offices to meet up with westonkevRS and have a tour of the RS offices. Firstly I can confirm that the offices do exist, real people are busy sorting loans and managing the back office systems that we all know and love. I was even briefly allow to touch westonkevRS which should dispel any thoughts of holograms or such skulduggery. Coffee was acceptable, I must confess to purchasing the coffees and watching them being made, again to ensure that no mind altering substances were inadvertently slipped into my drink in an attempt to alter my state of conciousness and therefore affect my subjectivity in the conspiracy review process. So in summary, real office, real people, adequate coffee, and an interesting hour spent discussing the P2P world in general, the competitors, the future and other general finance topics. Finally, as per discussions on other threads, I did inadvertently leave the office with a second hand, nearlyish new, lilac and white RS mug which will be available for bidding to all forum members on a separate thread. Many thanks to westonkevRS for his time and for an interesting office tour

Could you confirm that the interior decoration of the RS offices is as garish as the RS website.

So the only thing left to consider, on this rather fundamental topic, is whether or not Investor has been bribed (by more than a mug) into trying to quell the conspiracy theory by becoming embroiled in the apparent existence of a P2P company called Ratesetter. Or (my brain cell is working overtime here) that the Investor forum account is actually an alias of westonkevRS, set up many moons ago and operated methodically, following and contributing on many different boards, for the sole purpose of diverting attention away from his own ponzi backed pension fund when the heat was starting to become too much. In fact, how many other alias' does he have? I guess time will tell... Even making sure I win the mug doesn't help, the cost of producing it is small fry if it ensures the continued success of the RS 'front'. You gotta be more convincing than this Kev!!

I am happy to confirm that the interior décor is predominantly white with touches of purple/lilac, and a few of the people are predominantly grey however it was a Monday morning so that has to be taken into account. Interestingly westonkevRS did point out the lead website designer however at the time we we in his office he was surrounded by his close protection team so I was unable to get close enough for a good shot. We did discuss the website re-design today. I have previously stated on this forum that although I felt it was not in anyway an improvement to the old design I certainly was not as vehemently opposed to the new design as some, however I accept that your personal choice of browser/hardware/pc/laptop/tablet probably has as much to do with this as anything. In my experience with my 'tech' it really did not make a great deal of difference.

Food for thought indeed. I should confess that I did arrive at RS HQ today in a purple shirt with a lilac tie so you may be onto something there. However pepperpot have you you considered the ramifications of an extreme extrapolation of your theory. Maybe EVERYONE on this forum is westonkevRS/ Investor/etc, and you are the only 'real' sucker person on here kindly donating your children's inheritance to my/our ponzi scheme. Glad that you have plans to 'win' the mug though as our "charity" does need the funds.

They have even started hiring actors to pretend that they have real employees!

Looking at the amount of interaction, well crafted provision of information, and general ability to keep up with the threads on this Ratesetter part of the p2p forum (and who knows there may be westionkevs on general, zopa and Wellesley boards) -is westonkev a pseudonym for a collection of RS people?
On your visit to the RS nerve centre, which is clearly a front of similar sophistication to that depicted in the film "The Sting" (did you hear strains of Scott Joplin's ragtime Piano music??), when calling out "Kevin" or "westonkev", were there people looking round in brief moments of confusion or 'flicker of panic in the eyes' not being sure whether to respond?
My current theory is that the risk team is in fact a group of westonkevs running a side project for the RS strategy and marketing department on how best to present RS to the lending public, based on feedback from this board.

That's got to be nonsense .. how could that possibly have led to a pale lilac and grey (not even 50 shades), triple-line-spacing website?!? Unless, of course, the marketing department failed to listen to the Westonkev Borg?? No No, much too unreasonable to contemplate. 8>.

RateSetter is an anagram for "Tetra Reset". If that isn't the name of a shady multinational underground Ponzi High Frequency Trading arms-dealing hedge fund investing in spy satellites, I don't know what is. Clearly the whole thing is a cover operation. Just as scary is the fact that westonkev is an anagram of Knew Votes: even the election results are not safe from him!
