I missed all the fun on this one...
While the error was showing, did the "Repayments" tab show two "lender principal" payments, one on the original scheduled end date and one on the extended date?
I think that's broadly what we had previously on another loan with more than 100% of capital outstanding - with IT blaming the admin for entering the numbers wrong, and admin blaming IT for designing a system that doesn't properly detect the error if an admin attempts to enter a payment schedule that repays more than 100% of the principal, and which has a sufficiently confusing interface that it is easy to make such an error...
(would be better if admin and IT worked together to identify the problem and ensure it doesn't arise again, rather than simply blaming each other!)
