The plumber may (?) have shaken-out the highly-risk-averse lenders who arguably should not be lending. That one hit me hard, and whilst it will cost me four figures, I am not about to make a song and dance about it - I knew I was taking a risk. I'm not convinced there are many - if any - highly risk averse lenders on AC or any platform other than possibly the passive ones - Z, RS, W, etc. What I believe it has done though, well certainly in my case, is not simply jump in without doing my homework first which I usually do but now it will always be 100%. I used to always be negative about seeing idle money being err idle. It doesn't bother me anymore. Sure I'd like to see it all invested but if the business and especially the individuals behind it do not stack up, then the interest rate on offer is a irrelevance.

I won't be "parking" cash anywhere I really don't want it to be just to get it deployed. Idle cash is safe cash.

What happens to the idle cash if the platform goes pop?

What happens to the idle cash if the platform goes pop? Should be okay as the cash would be in a segregated client account as per FCA regulations.

bugs4me is right - FCA regulation, as well as common sense, requires that we keep client funds in a separate account. We've done this since our inception.
