TC are talking about very soon being able to open a SIPP in which to park one's TC investments

2 alternatives being touted. Either: - £50k minimum investment, somebody else picks the funds, or
- No minimum, you pick the funds and £350 a year to run (makes £25 to sell on the secondary market look a bargain).
Don't think I'll be rushing to either of these

The SIPP is also restricted to TC investments only...unless one pays more fees on top.

If you would otherwise be paying tax on all your interest the breakeven point is 875/1750 interest depending on yr tax bracket, implying holdings of 10-20Kish.

It'll be interesting to see which P2x lenders manage to negotiate reasonably-priced Sipp deals (i.e. with modest fees). I would guess that there is a significant market, and I'm hoping that competition with lower fees, to allow more modest investors (such as myself) the chance to join in.

I would guess that there is a significant market Not sure about that. P2P lenders are a small minority and of those, those wishing to invest via a sipp would be an even smaller minority. They would need to tap into a new resource of lenders and as with ISA's, I'm not really sure it will bring in as much new revenue as many predict. If you know about P2P, you have either made a choice to invest or not based on your risk attitude. I don't see why a sipp or ISA would change any of these minds. If you don't currently know about P2P , why would you necessarily know about them after the changes.

However given I am in danger of returning to 40% marginal tax bracket then I am likely to consider a SIPP even though there would be a marginal cost in year one.
