I've tried several times this morning to logon to Ratesetter using both IE and Chrome - no luck... Is it me?

I logged in several times earlier this morning but it appears to be hanging at present.

Give us a chance gang! And please, no "leaves on track" jokes..... .. There is a problem with the web and back office hosting site providers. The severe weather has affected their power, they are currently running on their emergency generators but they have also lost internet connectivity to parts of their network. They have network engineers working on the problem but I do not have an eta. I'm sure you'll know before us when we're back, and if the problem persists we'll put a message out on social media as we cannot currently put an error message on the site.
Buy rest assured there isnt a wider issue!
Kevin.

Sorry Kevin '....Give us a chance gang!....' - but as soon as there was a problem a one liner on this forum wouldn't have gone amiss. Appreciate these things are outside of your direct control but even my old Blackberry can access this site to post. Anyway, at least we know - hope things are up and running soon.

Truth is we wouldn't find out straight away. We're not personally on the site out of hours (other than for own use as interested lenders) and in this case we weren't notified by the host. I guess there should be some sort of technical downtime email warning, I'm not sure if such a warning notice is in place. I'll check with the techies Monday. Remember we are actually quite a relatively small outfit that doesn't have weekend employees (if we had 10,000s of employees you would get the great lender rates!), just dedicated people that love RateSetter.
But I am now in contact with the IT team, and so will feed back here. The social media team will also update on FB and Twitter if the problem persists for much longer.
Much of the back office is now up and running and we are processing giffgaff loans. Hopefully the user web page will be back soon....
But rest assured, your money is still earning interest!

"Don't call it a comeback, I been here for years"
Yes, and thank you for your patience, all front and back office systems are back up and running. Hopefully no long term damage, just a few loan applications lost which I'm sure we'll win back!
Kevin.

Bug's comment "but as soon as there was a problem a one liner on this forum wouldn't have gone amiss" and a Direct Message to me pointing out that you can have host failure alerts are both true. What I didn't know is that we do use this type of service (IP Patrol), but unbeknown the license had run out that very morning. Very unfortunate timing and an admin oversight that won't happen again!
But that is why we weren't quicker, and so apologies.
