How do I see a loan on FC without having had a loan part? Is there a way to view all the loans in a defaulting state? KT 1) Unless it's for sale or you own a bit of it, you are deemed not worthy of viewing it! 2) No, not the actual loan page. You can download the loan book which shows all loans that have drawndown, but that only gives minimal info (link is at the bottom of the 'statistics' page). I thought the same when I signed up, wanting to do some homework trying to spot trends etc. but there are other ways to help minimise the defaults you inevitably have to bear in P2P from time to time. I'll point you to this thread which will give you some ideas. The full loan book has enough info on each individual loan to do some meaningful statistical analysis of defaults etc. It even has recoveries to date on loans that have defaulted.

No news is good news, I usually feel safe once we go past about 18:30 on a Thursday night. Did anyone get any bad news?

Not my favourite kind of news.

No defaults and a couple of recovery payments, so up on the day I have some 5168 and 8171 (same company) though and both have comments added saying "we may default the loan" so that's sort of semi-bad news. Edit: also, 1588 came back from the brink and I shifted my parts at par. Admittedly, only shrapnel since it only has 3 payments remaining.

Only the one part at £1.58.

6521 - where the "guarantor's advisor" has spent the last month "disputing" FC's "position"...
10 Jul 2015 Given the amount involved and the importance of the matter we have asked our client to complete a questionnaire surrounding the circumstances of when the personal guarantee was signed so we have absolute clarity in that regard
A questionnaire? How... nice.

Man-up and take the pain, everyone. Oh, indeed. But it really doesn't bode well for the PGs (such as they are), if this kind of shenanigans is going on. The paperwork really should be as watertight as possible. "Oh, sorry, I don't agree" and "Hmm, would you mind filling in this questionnaire" really shouldn't be appropriate.

It's a smokescreen. Look on the bright side. It is better to have a guarantor who seems to have the ability to pay but not the inclination, rather than a guarantor who is bust. They clearly hope that FC will give up and go away, and FC just needs to hang in there until the solicitor has done all that can be done and has advised the client to pay up. Nil desperandum, lenders.

Looks like I don't like (or notice!) Mondays either. 3829 got an update about default two days ago, although it does imply that the PG will cover the outstanding loan balance.
Is this a indication that FC are going to be more timely with updates?

I feel grumpy. Whether it is Thurdays or even Thursdays, today we have notice of 4823 defaulting and three months behind! An A+ rated company!

"Today we have classified loan ID's 1435 & 2112 as defaulted". Originally Cs but took over £60 out of my Financially Crazy account. OK, they are classified as 'Green' but still a big hole in my account.

In case you were lucky this Thursday and didn't get a default email then you will have missed this bit of Flipping Cheeky political spin gobbledygook: "Please note, we are phasing out the default emails over the next month, as we look to further improve the information we share with investors."
A definite case of less information to 'improve ' the situation. Think they got the idea from HM Gov looking to scrap the FOI legislation.

I guess that RBR, which is not a default but is just as crippling as a default as far as selling is concerned, will continue to happen on the day that Furiously Crunching receives adverse news rather than being held until the next Thursday.
