so ablrate ablrateandy what are the chances of getting an online tax cert in place for the end of 15/16 tax year ? I assume you have increased your user base so a the manual option will be more onerous and error prone.

We have a number of updates that allow downloadable information for admin, so when this code is released we hope to get on with downloadable side of it for lenders.

ablrate ablrateandy Pretty please can we have a tax statement option on the site? Quite time consuming to cut and paste 23 pages of account history and then separate the "Correction Instant Returns", "Correction Final Instant Returns", "Deposit Instant Returns", "Accrued Interest", "Interest repayment", "Correction Cashback" transactions. Do the interest figures on the dashboard include cashback and/or instant returns?

I'm really getting quite concerned and annoyed with Ablrate. More than a year since the issue was first raised, and Ablrate seem unable to provide what must be one of the more basic requirements of a P2P platform : a online Tax Statement.

I must admit I am getting increasingly irritated too having raised this in December 2014 and a number of time since. Ok in the first year there were very few transactions and it was practical to copy and paste the transactions and work it out yourself but without an export to excel this is now a real pain now due to the number of pages. I am disappointed !
The lack of online tax statement and export of transactions & loans and in particular the lack of any progress in getting them after so many people have raised it has stopped me recommending this platform to others. A pity as it should actually be easy to put in place. Still we have few days before the end of the tax year so you never know we might have a pleasant surprise.
I did ask for a statement from customer services last year as suggested. I was initially sent someone else's information and there were a couple of mistakes in the calculation too. So we really need a fully tested online solution soon.

Personally I've taken this as a test, "if you can't work out your tax should you be in investing with us?" and I failed that test... Seriously if the tax was done for us I would've invested here by now.

ablrate is working with their pros on just how to do this in the way that makes most sense. While I want it and have asked for myself I'd prefer them to get it as cheap as possible. Just use estimates for now and include in the tax return notes something like "tax treatment of some interest is uncertain and may change the tax due by something up to around x" where x is your guess at the uncertainty range. The main area where there is potential for saving significant money is the tax treatment of secondary market purchases in the area of accrued interest payments.

I do exactly the same and it takes minutes to finalise at the end of the tax year. Not suggesting that any platforms tax statement is incorrect but I always want my own spreadsheet as a check so I always cut n paste my transactions even if a statement is supplied.

From ablrate 12 dec 2014 "Yes, that is all in the hands of the developers and we will let you know when its done".
Every other site I use has both a tax statement online and the ability to export to excel so ablrate is far behind.

Yeah but at the very minimum there should be a button to press to produce an export to excel/csv. You shouldn't have to go through and copy each individual page of your transactions and paste each one individually into your spreadsheet to do a crosscheck against a tax statement.
