Meanwhile they created the possibility directly to transmit money to foreign countries. That does not go directly to anyones bank account, but will be handled via TransferWise, which gives everyone a better exchange rate. Well done!!

I've used Transferwise quite a bit to shift funds into & out of countries. They're very good.

Is anyone else unable to make a UK withdrawal today ?
When I press the 'Submit' button I get an error alongside the Bank account number field "BANK ACCOUNT VALIDATION ERROR"
Needless to say, its the same account I've been using for the last 25 years, and for all SS transactions.

You are not alone, same problem here, I have just sent an email to them! Never had this problem before myself either, and I always use the same bank account too. Maybe they're setting up some new system?!!

We were trying a new bank account validation api however it would appear it is not very reliable, we have deactivated this level of validation.

Well, that did the trick savingstream it's worked now. Will this affect withdrawal mechanisms or timescales?

It would be nice to have an alphabetical sorting of the countries. Up to date it's like looking after a puzzle piece.

I’m becoming seriously hacked off with the way Saving Stream process withdrawals.
Occasionally they happen the same day, sometimes the following day and now a family member tells me that they made a withdrawal on Tuesday evening, 11 May, which has still not appeared in their account.
The process appears to be totally haphazard which is simply unacceptable for an organisation entrusted with other people’s money and is making me seriously consider reducing my investment with SS.

Withdrawals are usually processed daily, however a withdrawal will not be processed, if there is an existing BACS deficit on an investors account. This will result in an increased delay. We will be adding functionality to prevent a withdrawal being requested if a BACS deficit exists.

We will be adding functionality to prevent a withdrawal being requested if a BACS deficit exists. The problem with your approach is that when lenders request a withdrawal (due to a redemption for example), then make a deposit request (due to a new loan for example) the result is a cashflow nightmare for lenders as they are expecting to be able to use the withdrawal proceeds to fund the deposit request. Result stalemate - you won't process the withdrawal until the lender funds the deposit, the lender struggles to fund the deposit until you process the withdrawal. You need to make the website far more flexible in allowing lenders to cancel both deposit and withdrawal requests themselves. Maybe changes to this will have to wait until you launch the new website.

Just a simple question, with most likely a very simple answer - by why can't loans 5, 15 and 20 be cashed in? There is no option on the loan part detail page ?

Just a simple question, with most likely a very simple answer - by why can't loans 5, 15 and 20 be cashed in? There is no option on the loan part detail page ? It ought to depend on whether you took up-front interest on the loan parts or not. If you didn't then you ought to be able to sell them, but if you did, then that's why - you don't get to take up front interest and then sell the loan part on before holding it for the period of interest you've been paid for. So, if you didn't take up front interest and you aren't able to sell, then there's an issue that you'd have to contact SS about directly. HTH
