I struggle with some of the acronyms ("A") on this site. I came here hoping to find a full list, but it is sadly lacking......what would be really useful would be what I think is called a rollover, whereby as you move the cursor over an "A", a box opens to show a full description. What would you like to see added?

Used on SS and maybe elsewhere. DFL &PBL, I know the bridging loan part in PBL but what exactly do they stand for?

caveman38, Development Finance Loan and Property Bridging Loan. They aren't in common / standard use across multiple platforms so I don't think the opening post needs to be updated. Happy to be put right on this though .

Happy to be put right on this though . They are both in the glossary for the SS FAQ already if required, much to a top hat wearing, cigar chomping individual's chagrin.

YABA - yet another blooming acronym. And yet YABA is a word allowed by SOWPODS - the Scrabble 'bible'. SOWPODS is neither word nor acronym, but an anagram of two acronyms. Can somebody give uncletone a large sherry please.

Can somebody give uncletone a large sherry please. Good grief. Should the sherry bottle prove elusive, a dry martini would do. Large please. First take 70 centilitres of gin and some ice, and, as I prefer my martinis extra dry, don't bother with the vermouth.

Would sir like an umbrella in it? Perhaps just a splash of gin to take the edge off it.
