I would recommend doing the bare minimum. KISS rules. I wouldn't even fix the negative loan parts, just let them run until someone wants to sell. Keep it as liquid as a Dublin pub on St Patricks Day. I would fix the problem where sold loan parts don't show up in available funds Nice idea, but as things stand at the moment this would mean SS paying two lots of interest until someone else wanted to sell, and we couldn't have that eating into their lean profits could we ? I should have added that I too am not in favour of any unnecessary complications or 'bells and whistles', and no purple flourishes either.

There are a couple of loans that have been - ve for quite some time, and last week I sold into a - ve loan thinking I'd take it up with SS directly if it took too long to get my money out, but to my surprise after a couple of hours the money arrived in my account. I have also noticed that the funds from double purchased loan parts seem to untangle themselves and arrive in the sellers account much faster than before. Anyone else noticed anything, have they at long last fixed the bug, or am I imagining it?

They might be taking small amounts onto their own books as a stop gap to save being bombarded daily with "Oi, there's a glitch" emails. I do hope the new platform is as simple as the current one, it just needs the niggles fixed imho.
