Hi All
We have a new loan coming onto the platform in the morning. Circa £70k - equipment trade 12%+. I will post when the paperwork is done today and will be sending an email out to all. We also have a number of loans going into the scheduled loan section of the platform and we will update you on those as they are approved. They should make their way to the platform shortly.
Regards Ablrate

Is this loan still going ahead this morning? Should we form an orderly queue... or are we going to have a scrum to test the robustness of the new platform.
Where will the scheduled loan section be?

Hi Indy We are just doing some final paperwork and then will be sending notification on the platform. The Scheduled Loans are viewable by Underwriters only for now, but we will let everyone know when one is being reviewed and when it is likely to come onto the platform for everyone. Regards Ablrate

Hi All Just sent a platform email out letting everyone know that the loan will be live at 11 am tomorrow. Regards Ablrate Be interesting to see how a new loan will affected the SM. Will it show the same level of liquidity as SS with a lot of existing holdings being offered for sale to invest in the new offering? What impact will the premium/discounts have or will there be an influx of parts at par each time new loans launch? Interesting times

Will Ablrate be rationing us for a a day or two, or will it be a competition for fastest fingers?

Be nice if we could take a look at the docs before the bidding starts.

Previous loans have been slow to fill even @12% or with IR. This is their smallest loan, highest rate, new platform hype, lenders starved for months and as we've seen on other platforms (SS) the market has got excitable. So the big question may be: how fast does the platform refresh with F5 (Pretty sure Grumps isnt a lender here so it wont get a battering from a banana at least )

Do you have the ability to set a maximum bid limit for (say) the first 24 hours? After 6 weeks of waiting, I won't be impressed if one or two buyers grab the lot in seconds!

Hi All
Just looking to approve a loan but thought I would pass it by you first. It is £250,000 for equipment to a listed company with £17 million plus revenue. Amortising over 3 years 9%.....
Thoughts?

Regards Ablrate I'm all for engagement with the forum but we are hardly in a position to check or pass opinion on an anonymous company........ they may have £17m revenue but be technically or even close to practically insolvent. Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity, cash is reality......as they say. Will this be an equipment lease / finance arrangement with lenders/platform holding the rights to the 'equipment' ? BTW, not yet a lender on the platform but am thinking of dippping toes in once the new site has settled.

Hi I was interested in feedback on whether the rate is of interest, if all else adds up. we can't do it more than 9%. The loan is for equipment and will be the asset backing the transaction with corporate guarantees and the lease income stream as security. £1.5 million EBITDA for the company and they were incorporated in the late eighties. Regards Ablrate

for what it's worth... I wouldn't invest in a loan at 'only' 9 per cent. Too many other potential loans offering better rates. 11 per cent is my rule of thumb minimum....

While personally I dont tend to go much below 10%, I would say based on another platform which offers loans at a variety of rates (6.5%-15%) there is appetite from lenders for loans at 9%. The fact that it is amortising makes it potentially less risky over time than the Interest Only loans that are currently available (assuming security is as strong). With a limited portfolio available lenders will be looking to diversify where possible I suspect so I expect it would go in the short term. (including myself)
