PBL43 appears to be going fast because it had £500,000 pre-funded when it launched. I happened to see this one when it first popped up and this exact amount was already in the Amount Funded field and there was nothing on the Investment Activity tab. So the starting point for availability was 64.2% rather than 100%. 43 is gone, thanks to a 619k bid. Then it was gone again. Fat finger?

Just noticed someone drop £181k into PBL41 so that is going fast now as well. Having said that £500k of PBL41 mysteriously seemed to disappear from the availability soon after launch (underwriters?) and I wonder if this will pop back in again once the current availability drops to zero. Edit: And just as quickly the £181k disappeared. Funny goings on with this and the huge £619k on PBL43. Someone was being a bit of a pr@tt I think..

I guess it's a hazard of immediate funding. I hope this stays as a very rare event as I wouldn't want the immediate funding functionality to be withdrawn - it's a great feature of the site. Anyway good on SS for clearing these out almost immediately.

For those of you didn't get email : For various underwriting reasons we have decided to cancel PBL041. We were unable to obtain the usual assurances from our legal team regarding the planning permissions involved. All capital plus interest accrued for this loan has now been credited back to your Saving Stream accounts. The planning permission for Permitted Development Rights falls away at the end of May next year and the scheme needs to be fully completed by then. Our borrower has a buyer for the site but we cannot rely solely on that. We need to consider that if the sale falls through, we end up retaining a site with a rapidly shortening timeframe to complete the build. Planning permission was certain to be granted on the new scheme or as a minimum PDR’s to be extended, however we felt that this was too much of a risk to take on in this instance. Given our funding model, we need to go live on the SS platform early on in the legal process in order to raise the requisite funds; these situations will arise from time to time. Thank you for investing in Saving Stream. Kind regards, The Saving Stream Team www.savingstream.co.uk
