Borrower is a PEP, and enough of a PEP that his bank has declined to deal with him, so Saving Stream steps in.

And this particular borrower has been with SS since it first started, so no reason to have concerns I'd have thought.

If it's the same guy, a very interesting back story worthy of a Frederick Forsyth novel! Google is your friend... Where exactly is that yacht again?

I actually bought more of the yacht today when it became available as I feel the ltv is very secure! Constructive thinking to the opposite effect would be welcome to balance anything I might have missed

Can't see any harm in posting the google terms you used.

Can't see any harm in posting the google terms you used. The loan particulars contain the name of the property.

Leaving aside whether or not the borrower is actually a PEP, I can understand why a bank might be reluctant to lend to them.....

Slightly delayed reply but to follow the cryptic answers given in this thread I could point out that the vessel valuation report contains the yacht's IMO number.

Thanks. The IMO tip got me a bit closer but I still haven't got the Frederick Forsythe bit (One of my favourite authors) Anybody care to PM me the final link? P.S. I thought this yacht was supposed to be tied up in a safe place i.e. under SS's wing ?
