It really should be pointed out that this borrower also from Assetz lenders, and while Assetz washed their hands of their lenders in short order, Archover continues to pursue this matters. Yes this court action has dragged on for years but this is the UK legal system in action. That is not Archover's fault and their action against the third parties is uncharted territory as far as a P2P firm trying to make a recovery for their lenders goes. I see them as doggedly determined and I am very interested to see if what they are trying to do, can be done.

I suppose the truth will out in the end, if they have the ambition to stay the course and see the right done. I have quite a few thousand reasons to hope its not hot air. I wonder if anyone has relevant information on the present situation?

No more than what was in the last email from june 8 and I've forgotten the plot. Court date is set for Feb 2023. AO will definitely stay the course one way or another.
I came out years ago when 2 loans defaulted within weeks of each other. I may take a look after this loan resolves but I've cooled on this type of lending especially when secured means very little and the minimum is too high.
My other loan recovered at 54%.

I wonder if anyone has relevant information on the present situation? Yes, loads As you may know I run a website covering P2P litigation. I discovered this claim a few days ago and have now received some legal documents after requesting them from the court. It's an interesting, albeit niche, issue dating back to April 2016. My reporting is crowdfunded so it depends how motivated people are for coverage.

I certainly hope that the legal wheels remain in motion following Archover's withdrawal from retail P2P.

Email received....................complete and utter loss Shambles . The only "positive" thing I can muster is that it's going to be a while before I pay any tax on P2P earnings

Archover opened my eyes to P2P business lending risks, secured or unsecured.
There are just too many opaque loopholes or opportunities for bare faced incompetent or fraudulent borrowing companies/individuals or "professional service companies". This sorry assed loan was a perfect example of an honest P2P company and its lenders getting taking to the cleaners by almost every backsliding joker or financial institution.
I started my exit from AO, about 10 loans, as soon as this loan and another went belly up in short time after the money was lent out, nothing suspicious at all. Overall £550 loss, complete waste of time and effort.
If I do any business lending now, it's a maximum of 300 not a 1000.

I lost £2000 to UK ***m & it's organised fraud. White collar crime is hugely profitable as we have all seen. P2P & Covid saw fraudsters gorge at the trough. My total interest from Archover was almost £2000, so my investments showed a zero return.

Just been on the Archover website for the first time in months to see that they no longer accept retail investors. They are doing investors a great favour.
