Over the years I have read many interesting updates on many platforms but I have to admit this one is a first for me Marketing of the property has been somewhat hindered by tenant giving birth.A link may be of interest: T****** P******* (2891725647).

Any one got any thoughts on the Boatyard ? due to the change in layout of the new website I didn't notice straight away.
" Due to personal circumstances of the borrower it now seems unlikely that the refinancing route is a viable option. We have passed this case into the hands of our receivers"
I am not surprised by this , but I am surprised it hadn't happened much sooner , what a song and dance .

Diamond Earrings (1005804973) repaid in full today, including 330 days of interest at 12%. I was supposed to be in a November auction, but with no real update since 31/Oct it's impossible to know whether it actually sold at auction -- it didn't sell in a September auction -- or was sold privately, or if FS decided to repay investors to stop interest accruing while continuing to try to sell the jewellery. Whatever the reason -- Thank you, fundingsecure!

it looks as if one of the railway model loans is going to default (1093004185). I wonder if this will have implications for all of the similar loans from the same borrower.

Railwayana collectors tend to be a bit nuts about their hobby/past-time so theoretically if a string of these carriages etc hit the market I'd have thought that they should all be "absorbed" OK and no losses? I got burned on the Lubin paintings, they were possibly reasonably valued but a few of them hitting the market at the same time meant they were subsequently "devalued" and sold for less. Or so the story goes.

Yes 11025, we all agree this one went on for faaaaaaar too long and that FS needs to close on these people much harder and certainly a LOT sooner.
I would be more than aggrieved if the word is out with Borrowers that FS are a soft touch.

A little early to conclude this one is yet going off the tracks (letter only just sent) but certainly a warning signal FS didn't wait a bit on this one -- they sent the default notice on the day the loan matured. Does this suggest they're getting a bit nervous having so much lent to this one borrower? I'm not as heavily invested in these loans now as I was before because I'm a bit concerned that if hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of railwayana had to be disposed of relatively quickly they might go at fire sale prices rather than valuation prices. But I'm really just guessing about that as I have no idea how big the market for these things is.

Even though it's, I guess, a maybe global market for Railwayana, I didn't realise it's hundreds of £1,000s borrowed, that's a lot of pieces.
So Yes, I'd have thought market value attainment would suffer when word gets out there's a possible stream of this stuff about to flood in.
I was an early investor but got out at the first renewals because of my "Lubin Experience."

archie: Thanks for posting that. The article seems directed at the less expensive end of the market, but we can hope it applies as well to the sort of items FS are holding as security.

PS: Yes, VERY interesting that the default notice seems to have gone out on the day the loan matured, that's certainly not standard FS practise! Wonder wassup?
