I have loads of pet hates, but my top 5 are the following-:
1 - All adverts that say "You could save up to X%" ......totally meaningless and should be banned.
2 - Text speak.........especially LOL, some people use it to end virtually every sentence, even when nothing they have written is remotely funny, surely a fullstop would be quicker........if everyone actually did laugh out loud we would be deafened and look like a nation of gibbering idiots.
3 - All reality TV shows.........just cheap to make and totally boring
4 - Road Tax..........should be scrapped and put onto fuel tax......the more you drive the more you pay seems much fairer to me
5 - Stupid pasta names and shapes........once you stick it in yer gob and chomped a bit it's all just pasta

Sorry Skippy. Here's my top one:
Drivers who exit a roundabout straight into the outside lane of a completely empty stretch of dual carriageway, presumably because they are about to turn right at the next roundabout, two or three miles down the road. And why are they always such otherwise careful drivers, seldom driving faster than two thirds of the speed limit?

At last a response! How about pedestrians who, on an otherwise clear road except for me, insist on pushing the button on pelican crossings

How would you know if this is happening if it is a 'completely empty stretch of dual carriageway'. If a tree falls.......

At last a response! How about pedestrians who, on an otherwise clear road except for me, insist on pushing the button on pelican crossings No worse than that, the traffic lights themselves, specifically the ones which not only stop the main traffic flow to allow often non existant traffic to cross but then delay further to allow non-existing pedestrians to cross. This then compounded by the cyclist who merrily sails through the red light anyway, without lights, in the dark!!! (thereby giving other cyclists, ie me, a bad rep)

I would say drivers who insist on driving in lanes 2 and above on multi-lane carriageways when the inside lane is empty, but then again that would mean I wouldn't be able to tow my trailer home around the M25 on a Sunday evening at a constant 60mph when everyone else on the road is doing less than 50mph.

In fact, let's cut this short by adding drivers who criticise other drivers for anything at all, on the basis "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". It's a bit like the old joke, "I wasn't speeding officer, but the idiot I just passed back there was".

People who park half on the pavement and half on the road. People who talk about "Road Tax" as it hasn't been around since the '30s. This includes George Osborne who should know better. People who park in bike lanes. People who don't like the sight of wind turbines but still like using electricity.
