This one appears to be a is a total mess. Showing user bids of 0.62% but pre-bids of 103%. I have no idea whether my pre-bid is in or not. Still no full report even though the auction has gone live. No where near the standard we have come to accept from AC. 0.72% 1.03% and growing, now two pages of accepted bids.

Possibly not a wise move as AC are going to have to roll everything back to pre 12:00 or face the wrath of many people, so I'm leave things well alone until AC sort out this self inflicted disaster. But at the moment you are listed with 3 X £100 bids.

Somethings F'd up, the loan looks semi-live and I can place a real bid, (just put on £20 as a test) chris - HELP! I hope the bids that are being placed now, aren't knocking out pre-bidders - I can smell mutiny. Okay I've shut it down again. Combination of a code regression (where two patches are developed in parallel and one overwrites the changes made in the other) exacerbated by the auctions having their start times switched to unknown within the last hour of the auction (so a background process didn't run prior to the auction start). I've made two changes that fix the code regression and change the background process to check every 5 minutes. I'll now discuss with the admin team what to do about the bids that have been placed - I think in the interests of fairness they should be deleted but I'll need authorisation to do so. Will keep you posted.

They must have forgotten to stop the auction from starting when they removed the start time.
Edit: I see Chris posted while I was writing. Thanks.

Maybe not but seemed like a good idea at the time. Have placed another pre-bid. Will see how AC sort this mess out.

I assume Chris is not here because he's busy sorting out the mess. But it really is not good enough. I cannot spend my life sitting at my PC. My wife says I do too much of that already. If they are going to give us at least 24h for DD then the process should be: - The system should not permit setting a start time until it has been told that all the docs have been posted. - When the start time is set, this should generate an email to all who have either (1) pre-bid or (2) registered interest in the auction. - There should be a further automatic reminder 30 minutes before it goes live (when it goes live is too late). Edit: Posted before I saw Chris is back.

If they roll back the bids (into oblivion) then they'll have to reinstate the pre-bids (which I deleted once the auction started as they weren't converting!) Oh this one's got interesting ... so I now have bids and prebids. It'll all sort out soon

Edit: Or in absolute fairness do you roll the transactions back to 24 hours before the first auction time to cover people who will have deleted their pre-bids at that point because the documents were not forthcoming and they did not want to be caught out with bids that may have turned out to be ones they did not want.

Perhaps I’m oversimplifying things but I cannot see why a start time should be announced let alone bids of any description allowed before all documentation is available. You wouldn’t make other types of investments without full information so why is investing through AC any different?

I wouldn't disagree with you, but AC have been announcing start time before the documents are available the pushing the time back until they are and by introducing pre-bids AC have engineered situation where potentially the only way of securing parts of popular (least risk highest return) loans is to (pre-)bid on loans before all the documentation is available.
