I wonder where they think they will lose money. Maybe they rely on lots of deposits from retires in low-paying savings accounts and are worried that the money might move?
The general survey results don't worry me because what matters is the level of knowledge of those about to use P2P, rather than the general pensioner population. It's to be expected that those not considering P2P use won't know much about it.

I’ve never had dealings with YBS itself as historically they have a track record of poor rates. Having said that, in the past I held accounts with several building societies in exotic locations, such as Stroud & Swindon and others which are now part of the YBS group which offered attractive rates, or going further back offering the possibility of a demutualisation windfall. However, since the financial crisis, as building societies have managed to equal the banks in cheating savers and investors I have become an enthusiastic supporter of P2P (including Ratesetter).

First post, be gentle. As the saying goes nothing is certain but death and taxes. I know we all plan to live forever, but what have / should we do just in case with P2P? Most of the platforms I'm in all you have are login details. Property moose has a share certificate I can download, but I think that's the only one. Even if you wrote the logins down somewhere, how would your investments get liquidated? To my niece I leave 5 years of funding circle repayments? Hi, I think you should write down where you have all your investments so if the worst people can get access. I agree in a way I have dealt with the probate of an unexpected death and with most accounts being run through email it is a nightmare to find out what people have/owe especially if you cant get into their hotmail account. By the way if you want a referral to ratesetter, zopa, wellesley or funding circle PM me and I will send you a link.
