SteveT I tried your Sheet on my Mac, copy and paste breaks the pivot table sheet. Darn Mac. That's odd. My only venture into the Mac world is my iPhone so I can't help you really. Did you "Paste Special - Text" rather than simply "Paste"? Like magic

Just did a normal paste...here's what the pivot table looks like post paste Link removed. You need to "Paste Special - Text" otherwise it will be pasted in with HTML formatting, which a pivot table cannot handle.

If so can you please send evidence of such to admin, and if not please remove that link. ASAP.
If I've misunderstood the meaning of what you have posted then also please advise.

Please, everyone using this thread, do not name Borrowers or give info that can easily be used to i.d. them. I say this because I can see several old posts, as well as the new ones above, that clearly id Borrowers. Please remove them yourselves if we miss them as we are about the go through this thread and try and do so. dawn, SteveT, robberbaron

Apologies for the oversight. I have removed all loan names from the model tracking spreadsheet.

Shared responsibility for all of us. Think we are just so used to seeing the information on a daily (or if trying to buy SM parts, hourly) basis as members of the sites that when we see the same info on the forum it just doesn't click that the forum has to have a different set of rules. I have certainly read these posts on this thread a handful of times and not picked it up so actually think I share the blame equally with the poster. Maybe our DD efforts needs to be focussed inwards on occasion.

If people want to recreate the list of full names in the summary sheet you can copy and paste the relevant entry from your own transaction report once you've pasted it in SS_statement_Summary 97-2003 format v4.xls (70.5 KB)

Despite the (slightly harsh) telling off, lets not lose sight of the spirit of this thread, those with expertise in Excel have really helped others and I for one would like to say thank you to all contributors

It doesn't name the borrower specifically but it wouldn't be too difficult for some-one to find the information if they tried. Is it OK for them to do this? Genuine question - I am not sure whether it is or not. My gut feeling is not, but there may be business reasons for this and the borrowers may have agreed. If it is not OK then some-one needs to tell them - I haven't asked them about it because I'm not sure whether it is OK or not

Despite the (slightly harsh) telling off, lets not lose sight of the spirit of this thread, those with expertise in Excel have really helped others and I for one would like to say thank you to all contributors I'm sorry if it's come over harsh I didn't really mean it to be taken that way. It's hard sometime to express the correct tone, and sometimes people just pick up the wrong tone. Regarding the attachments that have been removed, I'm sorry it had to be done, I know a lot of work goes into making them and posting them: I and everyone on here appreciates the sharing of that work we are all better off for it. So where I could I redacted what appeared to be Borrowers' details in one post and then re-uploaded it to the Uses post (it appears they later deleted it anyway, just to be safe). But we all make mistakes, the Mods accept that; we all just forget sometimes I don't believe any harm's been (I don't think google would list them in their results). I certainly get it wrong sometimes. So if we can, please just carry on as normal and I'll try and use some emoji's from time to time .
