On a loan page, could we please get displayed the total amount we already have invested in such loan?
Otherwise, could we get a report somewhere?
I like the simplicity of SS, but it's very hard to know if we already have some loan parts in a specific loan, and for how much (meaning proper diversification is difficult).
Thanks!

You can easily find if you are invested in a specific loan - on the dashboard click on 'view details' on the 'Total live loans parts'.
If you have too many to visually scan then download the transaction report into Excel and pivot transaction types 'loan part fund' and 'capital repayment' by loan. I tend to keep a list of loans in Excel and update as I go along and download the transaction report once a month to check my interest.

Sorry, but that's not really my definition of easy!
The loan parts screen does not sort them by loan number, and I have to do the total myself.
I knew about the Excel download/export, but by the time I have done this, the loan parts are usually gone!
Surely, showing the total exposure by loan shouldn't be too difficult, as the data is available in the database!

I think this is a good idea, I've made double investments in the past where i didn't realise I'd already invested in a particular loan. When a loan appears on the SM you often need to make an instant decision whether invest or not and don't want to go looking on other parts of the site

When you come back, just buy it from that tab, and it will go through, because that page seems to say "Yep, I've offered this much". I've not tried it for extended periods, but it's certainly good for long enough to see if you're already exposed - and even to have a quick once-through the PDFs.

Do I sense a cat having been let out of a bag?
Perhaps this will provide more incentive for SS to deliver the upgraded website they've been promising us for yonks.

Do I sense a cat having been let out of a bag? <whistles innocently> It's hardly brain-surgery, is it...?

Do I sense a cat having been let out of a bag? <whistles innocently> It's hardly brain-surgery, is it...? No, but I wouldn't have expected the system to work that way. And I wouldn't expect others to, either. So I'd have thought this website behaviour would have been discovered only by accident.

In addition, we don't know the process by which SS "fix" the negative investment, nor whether interest is paid (although it probably is). People may find that their investments are reversed out if normal market liquidity doesn't deal with the deficit "quickly enough".
If SS could fix both these issues (displaying aggregate existing investment values, and negative funding) then everyone would be happier, I'm sure.

The response from savingstream was..............well, we're still waiting! Don't hold your breath.

(also sortable columns).
