Having come across this thread at the weekend I thought I'd try and withdraw £5 and see what happened.
On Sunday got the message on the website that they needed to verify my bank account (same one that money paid in from).
Not heard anymore so filled in website form this morning. Got a very prompt response saying bank account verified and thanks for supplying the bank statement (which I was never asked to do).
£5 now withdrawn. Will monitor how long it is before it appears in my bank.

I've now made two test withdrawals of £5, the first took 2 days to arrive in my account, 2nd was just one day.
I think the morel of this thread is to stick to bank transfers and ignore the debit card option.

ablender Where both methods are used we would ensure that any requests for funds to be withdrawn would always be sent to your bank account. If the bank account is closed we would send it to your new designated bank account. @hor1997. We truly apologise for the delay. All withdrawals are processed on a daily basis and your money is on your way to your account. If it was on a debit card it will take up to 7 working days to show in your statement. As this is a first withdrawal it does take a little longer, any subsequent withdrawals will be quicker. Hor1997, I find your tone on this (and other forums) very offensive. There really is no need for capital letters or for calling people liars. If you can't deal with P2P investments, go stick your money in a Post Office savings account. You really need to get some anger management therapy. Sorry, who are you and how do you dare to insult people who try to help others? I have zero problems with serious p2p companies and I would be ready to bet I have more money invested in this area than the majority of users around here (we are talking six figures). The principle you fail to understand is that a company failing so badly to serve very basic customer requests like LendingCrowd with withdrawals should not to be trusted, as in more difficult situations might simply melt down. Given I am serious about any single penny of my hard earned money, I give attention to somthing that others would call details and am not satisfied with a poor service as shown here by LendingCrowd. I have reported my experience here simply to warn other potential investors of the reality. I could have gone directly and silently to the FCA complaint procedure. But I truly believe in the support and reciprocal help of a community. LC lied to me and I am still waiting my money. Nowdays fast transfers take seconds to get into the banking system and yet, I have been waiting to get my money since the 20th October (16 full days have gone!!!!) and have no precise answer as to when my money will come back. Go and support this outfit as much as you wish. Serious people investing serious money will know how to read my warnings.

Actually it is genuinely a cashflow problem in the truest sense of the word. So often a cashflow problem is actually a liquidity issue.
hor1997 I took a free trial on one of the credit checking websites and can assure you that E******h A********** F****** (Lendingcrowd) has charges against the businesses on it's site. Your cash is as safe as the businesses it is lent against.

@hor1997, I agree with bonfemme's post. The first rule on this forum is "Please be polite and constructive" (see p2pindependentforum.com/post/136/thread). Whilst the frustrations and concerns you detail in your posts may be entirely justified, the manner in which you express them is neither polite nor constructive. If you wish to harangue LC then that is your right but please do it somewhere other than on this forum.

I am a real investor, lending real money (not pennies or few pounds as some appear to do to play around). I simply and very politely reported real problems to warn other real investors of what is happening with LendingCrowd withdrawals. I think my experience report of serious problems with LC is a much more useful contribution to potential lenders than your message above asking me to go somewhere else.

I think my experience report of serious problems with LC is a much more useful contribution to potential lenders than your message above asking me to go somewhere else. I think it's your definition of "politely" that most of us take issue with. To be frank, you don't come across like someone trying to warn other lenders, but more like someone with a vested interest in making trouble specifically for LendingCrowd. And with no way for you to prove otherwise, nor indeed to verify your assertions that you're a "serious lender", I've chosen to disregard your views. Thus, simply due to your tone and approach, you have completely negated any potential benefit your "warning" may have brought to the forum.

This conversation has now come to an end, and will not be resumed elsewhere, or I shall be forced to come amongst you with my slipper. Thank you all.
