Well the monthly payment has been made and there are still parts available at a discount. I've just had a nibble

Not now there aren't because I hoovered them up! FC's update program running incredibly slow today - it only got to this loan after 1 p.m. despite being running from the early hours (usually finishes around 7 a.m.) - I was watching it progress through the loans at a snail's pace.
It's very strange that 31602 was completely ignored by Autobid. I put a lot of 31602 parts up for sale at par yesterday and not a single one was bought. I put a lot of other loans up as well and Autobid bought everything. Looks like some bug in Autobid that passed this loan over. It will be interesting to see if it does the same next month.

Is it just 31602 or does it affect E's generally? FC seemed to be running very sluggish at times yesterday, I don't know why.

Well, 31602 is a D not an E. But the clue to its prevalent discounting could be that the loan is for £159,000 spread across more than 4000 loan parts. I.e. It's probably already spread across many autobidders, so there will be no more autobidders left with funds to pick them up automatically.... instead being picked up slowly by manual bidders.

That makes sense if most autobidders have deselected D loans. It's possible. Or perhaps the autobid algorithm only gives some autobidders a chance at any given (SM) loan - eg a particular autobidder gets given other loans instead and their available cash gets used up. Autobid is unlikely to be optimised to clear the SM.

... and it took 11 minutes to fill. Have the recent 'Loan requests' page changes neutralised some of the bots?

I fixed my code last night, but my account is now 1/3 of what it was and is buying less than it once did and will probably halve again over the next 3 0r 4 months. I don't think that it is worth the rewrite needed.

Yep, actually managed to nab some.
Can't wait till bots on p2p sites are made illegal like they are doing on ticket sale sites.

I think that ticket buying bots are different from the bots that feed on Frilly Capers.
Ticket buying bot owners Can resell at any premium Often know ticket sale dates in advance Often have same owner as ticket primary selling sites Can buy tickets without limit set by the selling site ?Pay no fee to the primary selling site when reselling
FC bid bot owners Can resell at maximum premium of 3% Never know when next loan will go on sale Are different from FC owners Cannot buy more than 20% of a loan Have to pay .25% to FC when reselling
With differences like these, I can't see the same pressure on Friday Cafeteria to change its ways.

Sheesh, I even had time to sell some less-fragrant pre-loved loan parts to fund this one. How different it is when bots are (evidently) confused!

I think the main issue with ticket sale bots is that touts are using them to circumvent the rules. Ticket sale sites almost always have a limit on the number of tickets any one person can buy (usually 6 or 8). The bots are being used to get round this rule.

£159k makes all the difference............... there was a 26k E earlier, which even on a 10 sec refresh was gone too quick for me to get a bid on .....
