That is great, thank you acky. That does tie a few things together very nicely. And it also lets me know who I have bought things from GSV3MIaC in at least a couple of cases!

I expect he gave you a good deal! Unlikely. It's probable he sucked all the value out of the part and you'd be better off selling it on as quickly as possible...

You can, of course, download all your Loan Parts (painfully slow if you have a lot). This provides the link between the Loan Part ID and the Loan ID. I upload this into a database that I maintain so that I can track interest, sales and repayments on each loan. The only problem then is if you buy and sell a loan part in between downloads, then all you can do is hope you still have another loan part of similar ID and try to figure out which loan the sold part relates to.
That only works if you still have the part ... many of mine have been sold. "What of the sold parts report" you say - well that won't show any where the loan has been repaid, or defaulted. arbster - beware libel!! Actually I used to sell 'previously owned' parts rather faster than the 'hold for 6 months', although some have lamentably gone belly up anyway. Cheaper to buy them at the primary auction if you can, of course, I have to get at least my 0.25% fee back, iffin I can! Oh, and preferably the other 2.75% too. 8>. I do however pride myself on never knowingly selling a loan part at a buyer rate below the average rate achieved on the auction, so I'm a better bet than autobodge. 8>>
