Built up over multiple days without being rectified? I don't see how this can have happened. Once a loan is negative (which must occur by purchases made at the same time) it is impossible to make it more negative as there is no availability. Any further sales will just offset the negative availability until it goes positive again. So it is probably something going on in the back end of the system by SS.

If a loan is negative, you place parts up for sale, as this is negative and already oversubscribed funds would your part technically already sold? Guaranteeing a sale? Would you part shown as 100sold or would you then need to email SS?

Would you part shown as 100sold or would you then need to email SS? In my experience you do instantly sell your loan part in principle (i.e. guaranteed sale). But in practice the system sometimes doesn't recognise this. So an email to SS may be required to unblock the transaction. I was told by SS that the transaction would go through in due course but I needed the sale to offset a BACS deficit which I feared SS would start chasing me about.

I had one earlier this week where the part I sold made it zero availability and a couple of others which had negative availability. They didn't auto-sell but I emailed SS, was sorted within 2 hours of email and money was in my bank account within another hour after that, was very impressed with speed of service.

So the above posts describe our normal understanding of how negative availability arises. Multiple purchases are made at or about the same time. But now consider the current situation with PBL4b. This has availability of £-7,730. But the total purchases today are about £3,000. Any ideas how this has arisen? Definitely something funny going on with PBL4b. It now has availability of £-13,610.

SS took another £7k+ out of it this morning. I noticed it at -0.98%.
