<hangs head> If anything, the last few days on the SM have been better than average for me... For me, daily sales 29th Oct to 2nd Nov have been about one-third what they were 25th to 28th Oct, but the latter was an exceptional few days.

<hangs head> If anything, the last few days on the SM have been better than average for me... Yes but at par/discount (i.e. autobodged) or at a premium (manual buyers)? The latter are working fine - autobuy seems to have quit (maybe FC will turn it back on when THEY have some parts they want to liquidate?).

Slightly better again on the SM yesterday; 14 property parts sold at par (including 4 of K***** Road 2, which only drew down a few hours earlier)

You could replenish your stock at 1.5% discount!

Yes, SM sales (at par) went better last night, probably because autobid ran out of auctions to send money to.

You guys are easily pleased. Slightly better including some of the said K Road 2 at par, but no-where near good enough. I think they are trying to fill tranche 2 of the 10% A+, while I am trying to get some funds for the third tranche which must surely have some cash back. Greedy, me? I am what FC has made me.

Well I hope they've not made you in their own image, else you'd be a basket case!

And just when Autobid runs out of stuff to buy in the PM, they release a couple of new loans, to soak up £50K that's otherwise in some danger of leaking out into the SM.

Dare I say that's good management of their business by FC?

To whose advantage? If the SM stops working, Autosale fails, the flippers stop taking the cashback bait, and a lot of people with a lot of money in FC because it's short-notice will start wondering if they want that much tied up.
FC have backed themselves into a tight corner and are now paddling furiously to keep the PL market afloat until they can get rid of it.

FC do not want to get rid of the PL market, imo. They want it to serve the Autobidders, to feed the whole loan rejects to Autobidders, to fund all of the property loans and to handle some larger SME loans. It is now being carefully managed by FC to do what they want it to do with minimal cash back. The last thing they will want to do is to have the business dependent on a few large institutions.

But what'll they do with the investment trust? Manage it in the best interests of the shareholders? If they did that, the Autobid well would dry up anyway.
And I think they're already dependent on the institutions. The WL market takes more than half the loans. If that tap were turned off, the PL market couldn't double in size in any feasible timescale.
