I heard some of the Autumn statement much consultation first. I seems like if there is a refurbishment it might be exempt. I haven't read any of the documents yet.

Think one will have to wait for the legislation. They will probably want to stop individuals setting up Ltd Co.'s to get round it; this might well impact on ANY SPV's with less than 15 dwelling units.

We might see THC bundle SPVs together in groups of 15. Also in another thread there is some disagreement whether or not the 3% starts at £0 or £40k. £40k is above a lot of purchase prices.

Frazer has sent an email outlining his thoughts on the issue. Makes for interesting & convinving reading. Will wait though as the devil is in the detail to see exactly what the government has planned. The Landlord's association boss (unfortunately have not got thread link) seemed a lot more pessimistic than Frazer & one can see both sides of the argument in temrs of how it will pan out. In reality though, no one knows until a few months/years of living with new rules. Will try & search for aforementioned link & also happy to post link to Frazer's analysis if anyone wants.
