Well done for being so quick off the mark to give us back what I think we all deserve. The opportunity to post what we like and when we like without undue interference from those who wish to exercise their power over us. However as with all things the exercise of good manners and a large dose of common sense also applies to those of us who are able to enjoy this freedom.
Again well done and many, many thanks for getting this up and running so quickly.

To be fair I don't think it's a secret that we've set this site up, indeed there are several threads discussing this ranging from thanking us through to discussion as to how we get the community to take over from us. We've agreed to pay for the setup and running costs of this forum and we're happy to help in any way the community requests, but ultimately we want this site to be independently run and especially moderated. I see no reason why the domain name ownership couldn't be transferred elsewhere as and when it becomes clear who exactly should have control over it.

Probably not a good idea not to allow guests permission to post. Spammers dream. Someone is playing devils advocate or silly bugger. Its no secret who funded the forum and it for me I have no issues regarding this. Thanks for your concern.

I have no connection to Assetz other than as an investor as indeed I am still with FC However given the statements made by Andrew Holgate about setting up this forum I do believe that his intention is that it should be fully free of all commercial interest and truly independent. He would be a very stupid person indeed to make the statements that he has publically and then renege on the deal.

Anyone now what position Guest PJH has with FC? None whatsoever. I'm merely a dissatisfied lender on Zopa which, at the time of my first post, didn't even have a board. Anyway, the reason I mentioned it to begin with is because of something that was raised on Zopa's own message boards, to quote (in part) from one of the posts:

We did have an issue with the initial system but we have improved it. However, we do answer every question that is asked of us.

Hi pjh. What you have stated is completely outside my experience and I have asked some bl**dy awkward (potentially embarrassing) and complex questions of Assetz and always got prompt and straightforward answers. I was aware that they had a few teething problems awhile back but these never directly caused me any problems. So I have no idea what you are complaining about. I have already posted on the utter stupidity of starting this forum and then reneging on the commitment to being truly independent.

Great job and now no one can say we are not independent and free to make whatever statements we like, always providing they in the spirit of the forum and are not libellous or in other ways illegal.
Many thanks to all those at Assetz who took up the challenge and particularly to Andrew who I think took this at a more personal level.
