I got matches at 5.8% again overnight. Patience is a virtue, good things come to he who waits, etc, etc Got my reinvestment rate set at 5.8% and last weeks repayments went out again without any significant delay

Rates may actually creep up as one or two new participants enter the ring. eMoneyunion being one. There's a thread started on this one which has a provision fund and appears aimed at 'safe as houses' payday borrowers..... I might have a flutter for fun. Can't keep with all these sudden and new participants.. eMoneyunion is a partner company of rebuildingsociety.com I believe. Hi We utilise some of rebuildingsociety.com technology, we are an independent company with 108 new shareholders following our succesfull £480,000 Crowdcube equity fundraise.

I've got my rate on the 5 year market set at 5.9% and it's going out pretty quickly at the moment (usually the same or next day). I'm wondering whether to risk changing it to 6%.
Has anyone on here got their rate set to 6% and, if so, how long on average is it taking to be lent out?

I've had a small amount at 6% as an experiment to see how long it takes for it to get lent out. Like you, I routinely lend at 5.9. It's been there for 17 days so far.

Thanks. I reckon breakeven is between 12 and 15 days per 0.1% (depending on what proportion of loans repay early), so I'll stick where I am for now. It's also less stressful!

.... and there was me thinking the 5 year market had settled down and lenders had realised that putting money on at 5.9 was fine as it went within a few days on average. . Then this happens 5.9% £408.1k 271 5.8% £4.0k 14 5.7% £10.2k 6 5.6% £48,824.01 352 How on earth can 352 orders be made for a total of £48k at 5.6, when you could get an almost instant lend at 5.8, and within a day or 2 at 5.9. You kind of expect the odd wild card, but 352 ?? I just do not understand!

This is odd as because AIUI, if they have set a specific reinvestment rate, if this is below market rate, they will receive market rate. I can only assume that market rate must now be 5.9% so to get less than this, it must be manually selected which as you say, seems bizarre in the least to have so many.

They ignore the bottom 1% or so when deciding market rate, so I suppose you only need a 2-4 thousand in at 5.6% (depending on the time of month) before that becomes the market rate, and new and reinvested money goes in at that rate. You would think people would realise how quickly the 5.9 money goes and that it isn't worth putting yourself at the front of the queue by dropping your rate.

Oooo, I've got some funds in transit let's hope they get there before the bubble bursts! (Apropos of nothing, I transferred funds to Wellesley at the same time and they turned up in my account within the hour).

Whisper it quietly, but I think the market might be moving to 6%. My reinvestment rate is set to 5.9%, but RS put it on at 6% this morning and there is only £46k ahead of it in the queue. Edit: and now it's gone out. Since when, someone who does not understand the system has put on £50k at 5.6% .

Yep, my funds arrived and have already gone out at 6%. I also had an early repayment that I've re-lent at 6% so that's a nice bonus.
