i have transferred some cash from my SS account back to my bank, i did it late on the 28th and also early on the 29th, my SS account says they have gone but my bank account hasn’t received them, im guessing that its because of the holiday period but just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem.
is this normal over holiday periods, if it is then i wont move cash at these times in the future.

I think the processing of withdrawals is handled manually, usually sometime mid-morning but only on days when the SS office is manned. Occasionally I have requested a withdrawal before 9am and had it in my bank account by 10am same day. However if I requested a withdrawal on a Friday afternoon I doubt it would be processed before Monday earliest.

Withdrawal requests are removed from your available balance immediately (so you can't spend it), then handled as Stevet says.

ok thanks, just got the emails telling me the money has been moved now, so everything is fine, im slowly getting used to how peer to peer works and that different sites have different ways of doing things.
