I regret to say it looks like the f**k-up fairies have been at the automated emails again. I received one this morning telling me some interest had been paid back early. The body of the email went on to say that my:
"...investment of £$36.81 was matched to contract Cxxxxxxxxxxxx [my redaction]".
It also refers to an interest amount that is described as "£$0.03".
I don't know what programming language was used to code the production of these emails but my guess is that it's not a confusion over currencies, it's more likely that the programming language uses the $ sign to identify variables and someone made a mistake and managed to code a literal dollar sign into the string
It's not as exciting as being called 'Laurence' but it does suggest that QA is not getting any better.

Is there a fault with account history or has there been an “improvement” to the site?
Previously this was in real time, a transaction showed immediately whereas since August1 it appears to be updating the following day.

I'm finding that the transactions missing from the "this month" statement show up if I switch to inputting a manual date range, but I'd prefer it if RS would fix this and save me a bit of time.

I see the charts on the rate trends page no longer function if we change the start date from 2010 and January 2017 is left as the end date. This is because RS can't be bothered to activate the appropriate code update to allow 2017. I seem to remember it took them weeks to correct this last January as 2015 ran into 2016, despite being told from about Jan 3rd!! I wonder how long it will take them this year!

I wonder if they watch this forum like you did (even though they do not participate).

They lurk, and read. I used to get a lot of comments from work colleagues on my posts (across all pay grades), usually with a smile. The PR people ("hello L and J") read my posts here Twitter and LinkedIN - always reading my mutterings in a constant state of panic. Luckily I never said anything factually wrong or giving away competitive secrets, just with a tone that they didn't always approve of.....

Happy New Year, Kev.
Sorry I missed your departure but I wish you well in your new venture. I guess it means you won't be at the next RS drinks party! Shame.
Greetings from Bogota, Colombia.
