Would you not have an unfair advantage on the prefunding market as well. You get twice the allocation and could easily move it around your accounts. For example if you have £600 available to invest in your business account, but nothing in your personal account; with two lots of £300 prefunding you could move the £300 from the personal account to your business account. The business money isn't mine, it's my businesses - myself and my business are two separate entities. I get that most believe, in the most open implementation this would be abused, which I guess I agree with. You might be correct on that, but my mind cannot stop avoiding the question of whether you are benefiting from both accounts anyway. If the answer is yes, there is the possibility that separate legal entities or not becomes academic.

On the topic of multi accounts, it certainly already exists that on some platforms, both selling and buying large amounts is easier with multiple accounts. In fact on one platform where not only is pre-funding allocated based on individual accounts, but also sales are queued equally (the first 1p of everyones sale instruction happens first --- or the first £1x10^-billion ), in the limit of having 'infinite' accounts you would be able to garentee that all your (collective) holding jumped the queue to be sold first. (Maybe a good use of bots on that platform?!)
That's ACs system, as I understand it --- although KYC c/sh-ould stop this from being practical.

my mind cannot stop avoiding the question of whether you are benefiting from both accounts anyway. I suggest just continuing as you are. Each of us will in the future presumably have legitimate reason to have at least three different accounts: unwrapped, ISA and one per pension pot. One per pension pot can arise in part because it is illegal to combine pots that are in drawdown.* A "beneficial owner" identifier is one possible approach to addressing the issue, with certain limits being per beneficial owner rather than per account. *You can add more money to a pot in drawdown by crystallising some uncrystallised portion of a pot into it, it's just combining two drawdown pots that isn't allowed. Crystallising is the formal term for a range of actions that happen when benefits are taken from a pot in some way. Pre-crystallisation means that a tax free lump sum can be taken, after means that it's already been done or it's too late is the most obvious distinction between the two states, the ban on directly paying new money into a crystallised pot is another.

I don't see why not but accounts should be nominated and linked and only one allocation of pipeline loans per linked group however.

Is it OK for husband and wife to have an account each, even if they generally pool their assets?

Someone else could refer your wife and you refer his if you both wanted to gain the referral.

The T&Cs are loosely worded as to whether there is no bonus for introducing YOUR partner or spouse, or 'the partner or spouse of an existing member'. 8>. I suspect SS would like to enforce the latter interpretation!
