Here's the tota SM activity by hour for the last week or so... Count Total Speed Hr 02:xx 68 £87,463 3098 Hr 03:xx 28 £4,760 1677.5 Speed is the (unweighted) average of how long it lasted before being snapped up (or in the case of 2am, nibbled at gently). OK here it is with speed weighted by part size (so small parts basically vanish). Count Total Speed Hr 02:xx 68 £87,463 5104.2 Hr 03:xx 34 £5,385 2412.7 GSV3MIaC: Thanks for the weighted averages. I was surprised to see that the effective removal of the micro-shrapnel didn't make the wee-hours averages go down. I guess that means there really are some goodies to be had in the middle of the night.

There is not a lot of micro-shrapnel at midnight and after .. that mostly seems to happen earlier (or later). At 2am, even large chunks can hang around for an hour or two ... 'large' being 3 or 4 digits, not the 5 or 6 you might see after a new loan goes live. Here's a sample from the last major beanfest on the 19th .. note they are sorted on when they finally sold, not when they first showed up. Someone was obviously having a major clear-out!

If I've got something to sell I wait until I'm on nightshift and sell it through the middle of the night. This minimises the chance of M3 getting it and gives others a chance. Someone should have adopted EJi 's technique. £20k of PBL025 was made available a few minutes ago, and it was snapped up in seconds via a single purchase by M3. PS. We'll see what happens once the the pipeline starts to produce results, but at the moment I'm thinking that savingstream really need to implement a limit on individual SM sales, perhaps as low as £100-£200, despite the complaints it will raise from the BHs. Seeing £20k snaffled by a single buyer in a fastest finger exercise is rather offputting, and SS would have a lot more happy investors if it were more possible to buy parts on the SM. I really don't think such a limit would have a significant effect on total SM sales, but the goodies would be distributed more widely. And if there was low demand for any particular large chunk offered, then the BHs would have time to make multiple purchases to enable the large parts to be sold -- though they'd have to deal with a number of Captchas along the way.

I think some are over estimating the amount I'm buying here, I didn't even log on to buy parts for 3 days before today. I also sold over 30k of loan part 25 on the secondary market last week, goes both ways ,)

' So do you intend to sell this again? And, is that after you fund the loan part you bought or before? '
Already sent in the funds for this purchase.
As mentioned before, currently moving funds from funding circle to saving stream, only way I can do this at the moment is the secondary market. Waiting like everyone else to invest using pre-funding on the pipeline loans - then we will not need to play the fastest finger game in the secondary market.
