Hi all,
Can somebody explain to me the rules regarding prefunding pipeline loans? For example if I want 1 - 2000 pounds in a loan how much should I prebid (assuming I have the monies in other loans/cash to cover any shortfall)

Prefunding is discussed in some detail there and I'm sure everybody would just be repeating themselves here! However a quick answer to your question; for loans up to 1m everybody gets an equal share no matter what you bid (unless you indicate you want less).

There are no rules - it's a game. For the two upcoming small loans it does not matter - you will only get a small amount. For larger loans you may or may not be scaled back so the skill is in judging the scale back level and pitching your prefund accordingly. I do not advise prefunding for more than you are prepared to take if you unexpectedly got a lot more than you thought because these are the very circumstances where you might have trouble shifting the excess on the SM.
