Same as treeman above. I'm in MT277, but declined MT328 as it was too far down the priority chain for my taste. But if MT becomes the first charge holder, the picture changes radically and I will certainly take some more.
That said, my participation (typically a few£100 per loan) isn't going to be material in filling this loan.

My exposure to this borrower is a bit smaller at 19%, but that is a high enough proportion for me. So I do not think that I would invest much more, if any, in another tranche.

Ed, if this goes ahead do you have an approximate time scale in mind for the first tranche?

Like others, I'm supportive of the move in general, but with ~20% of my MT portfolio in the two existing tranches that's enough for me.

I have some cash (think small numbers) in both the current 2nd and 3rd charge loans. If I could, I would quite happily swap, pound for pound, my 13% for equvilant 12% as I would prefer that loan.
Doing this suggestion, which aligns all the borrowers interests together, would be a very positive move imo. I would be even more keen to move cash from 13% to 12% for that first charge.
However, it isn't until the last tranche of the 'old' first charge is gone that 'we' get a first charge. So that last 300k or so is arguably the most important. Based on this, I would be adding some cash into the 'new' 13% loan, up to the level I was comfortable with now that MT has the total lender base, but probably split, half into tranche 1 and the last into the last one.

Ed, if this goes ahead do you have an approximate time scale in mind for the first tranche? Subject to final dicision here and at MT, it could initiate within a matter of a week or two. Regards, Ed.

With MT holding all charges and the initial loan becoming 1st Charge. I would definitely expect to increase my holding

ED
Can I just clarify?- if it goes ahead will MT277 rise to 13 per cent as well? I would certainly be happy to put some more £K's in if that's the case...

Hi Ed, knowing if people will invest is a little meaningless without figures. You really need to add a poll to gauge amounts to get a more precise answer to your question

I only placed a very small amount in second tranche (given its 3rd charge) but with improved LTV/risk profile on my investment in the first tranche, i will be willing to increase my position in this loan.

No, since this would become a small 1st charge loan at a low LTV (12% LTV), with the 2nd representing up to 60.1% LTV (although as the build continues the LTV will come down). Regards, Ed.

However this feedback has been valuable to gauge general impression. Regards, Ed.

I think a poll of figures would be quite useful, as a lot of people on here have said they are willing to invest but as they are already heavily invested only a smaller amount then they normal would, I would guess a lot of people are in that boat

... so I am left to the decision that for this particular thread I will like all posts regardless! The senile delinquent in me was tempted to post something abusive, you don't get offers like that very often Yes offers, I have to say this one looks good to me (particularly the 1st charge) and either I/my partner/my business will be happy to increase our current overall %. Cash availability will be subject to dismantling the sofa yet again (probably a few K in there) ..... what's coming up for the end of next month, 6 figures returning!
