no it hasnt been rezoned, its one of 830 site submissions put forward, all info is on the local authority website in the public domain
Call for Sites
We launched the Central Bedfordshire Local Plan in February 2016 and the Call for Sites, which ran until April 2016, was one of the first steps. The Call for Sites was an opportunity for agents, landowners and developers to submit land which they believe could be developed to meet future demand for homes and jobs. The full list of sites that were submitted was published on 25 May 2016.
Why are the sites being published?
We have received approximately 830 submissions to our Call for Sites from both rounds (2014 and 2016). We have published the full list of sites that have been submitted with accompanying parish maps, so that everyone has the chance to see the sites that will be considered through the Local Plan process.
How does this affect you?
At the moment the sites have not been considered or selected for development so there is no impact on any residents. It is also the case that only an estimated 4-6 per cent of the total land that has been submitted will need to be allocated to deliver the new homes that are needed.
We will be holding public events over the summer, where you can find out more about the Local Plan. In addition, there is currently a consultation on the site assessment criteria. Once approved, the criteria will be used to shortlist the sites.
At this stage, sites have not been considered so the published list of sites has been provided for information only. The opportunity to comment on the shortlist of sites will begin in December 2016 when the first draft of the Local Plan is published for comment

Oy! savingstream You told us that these sites had been rezoned and were now to be valued at up to £75M. On the strength of that update I increased my holding. On whose authority did you make this as yet unsubstantiated statement? Am I right to infer that most of your "updates" merely regurgitate what the borrowers (or it seems, their agents/brokers/introducers/solicitors etc) choose to tell you? We never did find out how many separate refusals of finance for PBL040 occurred before the latest update, or how cognisant you were of a certain agricultural finance borrower's historical reliability/reputation prior to approving two loans and presenting them to lenders. Are you aware of the scepticism you have been accumulating in recent months regarding information you are providing, and the erratic, often delayed timing of updates? I'm sure you realise that it is not whether criticism is justified that is important to your platform, it is whether the lending community actually believes it is justified.

That sounds very definite I too held and bought extra, based on this update. I really do hope this repays soon, as per update! The same updates that are notoriously inaccurate. Maybe a review in the wording in these updates would be welcomed and more information than a quick paragraph.

Savingstream posted a lot of updates, some containing quite old information, on 18 August. It would be far more acceptable if updates were to be posted immediately the information is available, not leave it sometimes for weeks while investors keep having to ask on these forums or by email.

I held on to these loans (even considered buying more) because of the update... Learnt my lesson. Hope it doesn't translate into a loss, on a per borrower basis this is one of my largest positions.

It is concerning that SS have not responded to the credible claim above by Mr. harryvederci implying that SS have made a mistake in recently assuring us that our security is, er, secure, and has indeed risen greatly in value.
If SS are so confident in the repayment of this loan, then we should be happy to hold it for as long as possible. Why would it be, therefore, that SS, according to their update message, are requesting the borrower to repay a proportion of the loan earlier than the borrower would like?

Why would it be, therefore, that SS, according to their update message, are requesting the borrower to repay a proportion of the loan earlier than the borrower would like? They should be requesting that the borrower pay ALL the loan NOW, NOT when the borrower would like. Anyway, probably because the loan repayment is overdue, SS knows the borrower has £3M cash which he could use to part repay the loan and has no credible reason (like funds are expected from Dubai) to say he cannot afford to pay anything back. That would leave the full original security in place and a much lower debt and LTV adjusted to 38%. Alternatively the borrower could just pay off the two items totalling £3.2M leaving the rest overdue at 70% LTV and make excuses. Huh - as if that is going to happen. Many borrowers with SS seem to pay back as late as they possibly can. Imminently edit again: .. and anyway, everyone at SS Towers has been stuck with their fingers crossed since last Thursday, awaiting the money from Dubai that has been assured, even imminent, multiple times since April!!

Perhaps it's just been repaid. Not showing anywhere for the moment.
Oh-ooooh! Someone playing sillybeggars? They've reappeered with small amounts for sale, but my 3 x £1K doesn't show as sold.

Perhaps it's just been repaid. Not showing anywhere for the moment. Nope, a big hitter has just smashed A and D tranche for £170ishk. I hope you'll send them a banana (Queue is really light for both loans if you want to offload any more now)
