Hi Guys Is it possible for you guys (Mods) to enable tagging user's display names, not just their username. I ask because others quite often tag my display name, but it doesn't ping in the notifications because my own display name differs from my username. Likewise, when I tag others whose usernames are different they don't get notified.  |

Sorry looks like I'm the first mod/admin to see this question. I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Proboards is a package that is used as seen. Admin have some controls but I think if this was one of them it would have been activated by now.

Likewise, when I tag others whose usernames are different they don't get notified. Perhaps you already know this but you can change your Display Name. Go to your profile, then Edit Profile, then Personal, there you can change your Display Name. (Or a Mod can change it for you if you want, PM us perhaps?)

I wait for a reply, start to think that they don't love me; then realise that their username is different so they haven't been notified . Just a mild nuisance that's all  |

Use the tag button. If you type in @cooling_dude and it isnt highlighted blue when you post then edit your post, use the tag button and typing cooling_dude will tag it correctly as @ dnallov aka cooling_dude
