And not quite true. No lender has lost a penny at AC either. OK, we are only 10 months in, but no defaults and not even a missed payment yet. I'm sure there are a few other platforms that are the same. I know it's not Kevin's words as such, but it is misleading.

I know it's not Kevin's words as such, but it is misleading. And we can't tolerate "Ratesetter is almost unique in the", due to the Lynne Truss effect. The slogan's still ok: Every lender, every penny. Unless Assetz Capital is counted as not being P2P, but P2B ...

I noticed fairly recently the provision fund topped £2m for the first time....
...I want to be slightly higher on the risk/reward profile than where RS have finally settled, I think its actually pretty exciting that as my first 3 year loans mature, the provision fund with its two million pound coins has helped deliver my money back with exactly the interest I'd hoped for. MrCLondon, Thank for your support in those early days. I joined as a lender back then also, and joined as an employee when the fund was around £1m so I'm very pleased to see it it £4m (and a larger percentage of funds covered). Did you get the higher returns for your risk appetite that you were seeking? Kevin

Did you get the higher returns for your risk appetite that you were seeking? Kevin Unlike the Telegraph's Deputy Personal Finance Editor writing yesterday, I am entirely happy with the risk/reward (10-15%) profile of asset backed lenders such as FS, AC & TC (although in the latter case, it is necessary to weed out the many loans with weak security). I'm not entirely deserting RS though, and if the 1 year bond rate stabilises at around 4% over the next few weeks I'll be topping up as deferring the interest for 12 months is beneficial for me, and allows for some platform diversification in the mean time.
