Very odd! I have, more or less, always received savingstream 's emails but do not seem to have got the one advising cancellation of this loan or the upcoming Scottish one tomorrow?!! Same email.

There doesn't seem to be much activity on the SM considering there is a 1m+ loan being launched shortly. Maybe more people read this forum than we think? I'm a bit surprised that people expect to put parts for sale on the SM in anticipation of a new loan's release. With INPL -- and especially for loans larger than £1M where allocations will be a percentage of requests and it's impossible to know in advance what the actual percentage is going to be -- it seems more appropriate to wait until after you know how much you've been allocated before deciding how many parts you want to sell. Am I missing/forgetting something?

Maybe some would be concerned that liquidity would not be as good if waiting until everyone else is selling too... ... and others may not be quite as well-versed in the procedures as the enlightened forum members, and therefore not realise that they can post-fund their pre-funding.

This thread/forum didn't unearth any new information - everything was clearly laid out in the valuation report (which SS had received many weeks ago). awk: Why do you say SS had the valuation many weeks ago? It's dated last week.

I think it's important for future confidence in SS that we get an explanation of the change of mind. This thread/forum didn't unearth any new information - everything was clearly laid out in the valuation report (which SS had received many weeks ago). So, why the change of mind? Maybe (in some part due to this thread) pre-funding dropped dramatically to the point where it didn't cover the loan amount. I doubt that personally, but in any case, I'm happy to see the back of it Having been busy this week, I was unaware of this thread, until now! I have created a possible new avatar picture for you to use, if you choose...

I understand from SS that PBL083 was 3x overfunded (although at what point in time was not specified). So..... not removed due to lack of pre-funding. Maybe they read through this thread, got togeather in the office and said, "hey guys; maybe we should actually read this valuation report"......

It's dated last week. Sorry, I was looking at the inspection date. However, 10 days is still plenty of time to read and digest the contents (i.e. it wasn't rushed and they missed the key zero valuation).

Maybe some would be concerned that liquidity would not be as good if waiting until everyone else is selling too... Yes, exactly .. you don't want to put £500 of superyacht for sale when someone has woken up at 1AM and listed £500k before you (ditto anything else with limited buyer appeal).

Give it 2% CB, and watch it fly.

However, I also trust SS and they know a lot more than me about this game. They are keen to keep their 100% (recovery) record, so I don't think they would blow it on this one small loan. Therefore, I'm assuming that SS believe the PG to be solid, but can not disclose it. The other thought that crossed my mind is that the borrower may be close to the planners and has been given a nod and a wink... He's got to get it past the councillors as well.

Do those who predicted this win some sort of prize? An SS mug perhaps? No. If you want an ex gratia mug you need to get yourself over to the Ratesetter page and cosy up to Westonkev.

Confucius him say 'better egg on face than sh*t in fan" I assume that Confucius would predate the modern fan. Maybe a more appropriate saying would be "better egg on face than sh*t on punkhawallah"
