Once again the incredible FC team has been surprised by the bank holidays (not that they are written years earlier in any scheduler....). Withdrawals are back to 'random' times. My Friday and Monday withdrawals have not come through. Also repayments (even those internal FC-FC, i.e. property loans) are in late/retry mode. Great. They have previously told me that since they moved to faster payment that you should see withdrawals early next day if you submit your request before early afternoon (not defined) - obviously doesn't apply at weekends or bank holidays. I wasn't sure whether things were back to normal and that they are still using faster payments after the problems they seemed to have a few weeks back, but it seems from your experience that things have gone back to normal. In my experience, "normal" is that withdrawals requested on a working day before 5pm arrive next working day (so Thu = Fri, Fri = Mon), but that withdrawals requested over a weekend / Bank Holiday are not picked up until the first working day back. So anything requested over Easter (Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon) won't appear until tomorrow (Wed)

Hor: I believe Friday and Monday are not working days - the clue is the name "bank holiday". So, you seem to expect a withdrawal request you placed on a non-working day to be back in your account first thing people are back in the office? Although faster payments do indeed have a 2 hour SLA, that is the SLA once the instruction has been issued to from the originating bank to VocaLink (the clearing system responsible for FPS). A company such as FC will have various accounting processes to follow before the instruction is issued to their banking provider, who then have a direct link to Vocalink. As a result, FC's SLA to us is clearly stated to be 3 days, not the instaneous SLA that you seem to imagine is your right.

Today I have already received withdrawals from two separate p2p companies and both of them were requested AFTER the FC one. FC has become slow and inefficient and when you see the due property loans in Retry mode (when you know the interest money is already in the FC accounts) you understand clearly that their current processes are a total mess, and get even worse with any single bank Holiday (let alone a double event!!!!). Happy with them? Continue to buy!!! I will continue to report my experience and FC is definitely a sub-standard company at present.

Hor
You seem determined to prove that FC continue to do exactly what you expected them to do. Perhaps you might consider the words of wisdom on FC's withdrawals page which state "It usually takes 3 working days to get money to your account.". While blind optimism might be a nice state of mind to maintain, it will tend to lead to disappointment. Perhaps it is time to accept that FC is not suited to your just-in-time aspirations?
Doctor, every time I bang my head against the wall it hurts. How can I stop it hurting?......

Its been a while since I last made a withdrawal. Can anyone advise from experience what current withdrawal times are like - it was usually next day by Faster Payment if withdrawal request was submitted before early afternoon/midday, is this still the case?

Not changed, but you've got until about 5pm I think to receive next working morning.

I made a withdrawal yesterday evening, probably around 7pm and it isn't in my bank yet. I've made quite a few over the past few weeks, they have taken up to 2 working days to hit my account, although in most cases it has been next day.
*EDIT* Noticeably, Sunday withdrawals did not hit my bank until Tuesday, which is taking the micky a bit in my opinion.

It's not a strict 5pm cut off, a 5.05pm withdrawal arrived next day a few weeks back but a 6pm one didn't. I'll try somewhere in the middle to continue the test, if I can remember... Edit; a 5.33pm withdrawal yesterday hasn't arrived today... When did it eventually arrive?

FYI - I made a withdrawal request around 4pm yesterday and received the funds into my bank before 10am this morning.

It may vary a bit day-to-day as I imagine someone clicks the "Start withdrawals run" button as they're about to leave the office

I have just made a withdrawal request mid afternoon. Are were being processed overnight so that the funds are in your bank account first thing next day. Has anyone made a withdrawal in the last week and can confirm this is still the case? I'm hoping to have the funds early enough tomorrow to send across to SS before they do their morning bank rec......

They have been quite fast with my withdrawals in recent weeks. I would expect you have to it by tomorrow morning .... probably.

Most of my withdrawals recently have been processed intra-day. However, that might mean there's a morning payment run and I've just been lucky to get my withdrawal in early enough, or it might mean they process withdrawals a number of times per day.

I am consistently getting the money the following working day, no matter what time I make the request. Never yet had the money the same day.
