I continue to pull my funds out, just one loan left now. Really can't understand why people keep investing on Lendinvest at the new rates, there are just so many better opportunities in P2P out there. I guess it is just the people who have seen the ads on the London underground etc and are comparing rates to bank deposits...?

Lend Invest are a relative large company with decent financial backers and a decent track history. Althought there rates might be a lot lower in case of defualt I bet the information is a lot more accurate then some of the loans on offer on the higher paying sites were some of the borrorowers are people you would not trust with £20 let alone a million or more.

Ben,
If Lend invest rates get much lower you will be paying them !!!
You say ' Although their rates might be a lot lower in case of default....... ' well actually, their rates are much lower, period.

It is dropping considerably and quite quickly which is the surprise.
I think across the board it feels like we have lost 0.25-0.50% on the loans.

LendInvest have made a virtue of their drop in rates for in particular vanilla bridging loans on their social media outlets. I have made one in not reinvesting early redemptions. The recent 5%er Trumps AC's 5.5% in the race behind Zopa to the bottom of the Brexit barrel .

By the end of March I will be 50% out and nothing in the last 3 or 4 months has given me any reason to think the decline is going to stop.
I am more than happy with LendInvest's direction but it has split from my own objectives.

I really do not understand why they cannot give a few hours' notice at least, as other platforms do. Their approach seems deliberately designed to get up investors' noses.

I think LI aim more for the bigger investors that are happy to hold a rather large chunk rather then wanting lots of smaller investors. At the moment they have no issues filling loans and are probably issuing more loans then most other sites so why would they change it as it works for them.

It does make you wonder why they opened it up to smaller investors last year. I would say that these low offers often have a higher LTV than they had a year ago , it takes the shine off of the platform for me.

Agree - when they first started dropping the rates post-Brexit they also had lower LTVs. Now we're back to higher LTVs but the rates haven't gone back up.
