I'm pleased to announce that the Beta version of automatic bidder is now live. The final version will, of course, have more functionality. The current version will make a bid at exactly the terms you specify, meaning it's not capable of starting from a higher rate and then adjust it downward. The final version will, of course, have that functionality. investly.co/bidder/myBidderAttachments:

We have a new post on the autobidder available the Investly blog. Check it out! Also, I'd be curious to hear about your experience with the autobidder.

The earliest we can start work on the improved autobidder is after we've released the new version of our website (late autumn). Currently all the development resource is busy with that. It's too early to provide a delivery date I'm afraid, but we do see the need for a smarter autobidder, so it's definitely in the plans for this year.

I've started work on the architecture of Autobidder 1.0. I've received a lot of feedback from investors. If you haven't sent in yours, I welcome you to give us suggestions as to what you would like to see in the final version. We've already decided to add credit rating to the options, plus we have a few other things on the table. All ideas are welcome!

- a methodology to stop a race to the bottom
- keep the "invest up to " amount
- a better display of what has been bid on/rate/position
- a view on the distribution of bids (graph of rate bands perhaps)
- ability to revise/change bid
- ability to place several bids

to set filters by credit rating (in fact practically any of the given data) Logically if you give us the data then why not let us use it to filter offerings? Mintos do this well, copy them.

Yes this is something really lacking. At the moment, if you want any investments at all you are forced to take 8%. Having to swallow 8% is pretty bad when returns elsewhere are higher, but having to do this with no regard for the risk category is a stretch too far.

Thank you for your feedback!
Developing the new autobidder is scheduled for March. I have gathered a lot of feedback and we will be introducing new features. During February and the remainder of January we are mostly focused on bringing in new customers. As many have noted, the rates have come down. This is due to investor demand outpacing invoice supply.
We will also be working on setting different minimum rates for different risk categories of sellers/buyers so that the interest rate of an invoice better reflects the risks investors are taking. This is still work in progress, but I though you would like to know.
