mikes1531 while your hovering, i spent today setting myself up for the pbl025 rollover to DFL , not done this before, what do i do with my PF if anything? thanks in advance. Set it to zero, if you don't want anymore. The PBL will automatically roll into the DFL. Liz: You appear to have fallen into the trap of presuming past SS performance is an accurate indicator of future SS performance.

Liz thanks for the DFL tip this afternoon, not paid any attention to the pbl025 due to negative days ,and had no idea this was going forward to a DFL , managed quite easily to pick up my allocation today.

YW. Lots of people just sell it because of the negative days, so easy to pick up bits. Now let's hope SS don't pull out of the development funding.

It is intended to go forward into a DFL. But if something doesn't smell right then SS could pull it. That's the risk.
Edit: crossed with Liz

Edit: crossed with Liz PBL085 seems to be going nicely, and seeing as I'm in neither that nor 25 at the moment I'm personally prefunding the DFL. I'll have sold or some other stuff will have redeemed by then, am totally swollen with SS loans right now by my standards

Point is that people like to ignore great big warning signs as they think they know better. In the case of PBL20 do some investors think there is a nice tax loss strategy because it says "Default". But why someone would buy £5.02 or £6.65 "Maybe finger trouble"

But why someone would buy £5.02 or £6.65 "Maybe finger trouble" hi grahamg i really have no idea why anyone would think it financially prudent to put any money in this loan, if the SM was un-usable then maybe risk a little bit, buts its been fine for some time, 'tax loss strategy' , you may be right, who knows, i posted the other day that i wished someone who had bought some of this would drop a post to explain their strategy, but I've got a feeling after the backlash on here over the last few days, that i would be surprised if it was anyone who uses the forum, i would think its investors who are reading the red box, thinking interest is accruing (which it says it is) but not quite aware that they may not get any interest and may lose some capital depending on the outcome. Time will tell.

Perhaps it's just because it's Saturday, but PBL020 purchases seem virtually to have stopped. The Investor Activity is showing exactly one purchase so far today -- and the day's mostly gone -- and it was for all of £1.
