One of my loans was due to be repaid on the 5 February.
On the defaulted loans information page the update still reads "awaiting update".
UNBOLTED .... how long do you allow for a response from the borrower before selling the asset to recover the monies lent?

Not had one that long usually it is a few weeks, you still earn interest even though it is in default.

I have 9 overdue at present, I haven't had any due to mature for a couple of weeks, otherwise i'm sure that figure would be higher.

With the type of loans, you are always going to get a fair high number of defaults, for us as investors the more important part is what returns the items recieve at auction, most of the loans I have been in have sold for more then loan and the fees for unbolted.

TBH, what I consider to be more important is that a loan repays on time and in full, never mind waiting and hoping that it will sell at auction for sufficient to cover my investment and interest. This isn't a platform for me, and TBH you would struggle to get more than a few k invested in the pawn loans, I would rather spend a little time doing some DD on one loan and investing it in one where I can pretty much forget about it for a few months, apart from keeping an eye for tell tale signs that is.

TBH you are too impatient and short sighted. I would rather have delayed payments in this type of loan than in property (with iffy valuations) or, god forbid, a company loan backed by a personal guarantee not worth the paper irs written on. £25k and rising. No effort.

No effort. Everyone has a different approach, I would sooner have my cash somewhere that I can see what it is invested in, who the borrower is and as a result do some DD to satisfy myself to some extent that i'm happy with where my money is going. Liquidity also holds value to me, although its never guaranteed, this is something that unbolted does not offer. 25k is a sum i'd happily invest that across one or two loans that I can do some DD on, so very little effort needed in the scheme of things.
