The company linked to ,on the SS 'property description' bit T***M was set up only a couple of weeks ago and seems to be jointly owned by two other companies, one based in the Seychelles and one based in Belize. Not sure if this is of any relative interest. Are you 100% sure it is the same company? I checked and can't make a connection apart from the first part of the name. If it is the same, I'd be very wary about lending to a company without named directors. As long as the charge is correctly registered on the security, I suppose it doesn't matter but it definitely sets off my spidey senses.

Do a WhoIs look up on the domain name of the website listed. It shows that it is registered to a different company registered in St Peter Port Guernsey .

I'm not sure it makes a huge amount of difference. As long as the security is solid. I wouldn't place much faith in the PGs though.

Just thinking the same myself.. its strange , when i do a search on uk companies website and input T***M ... only one result.. if i add 'park' same result ..but add anything else and no company found. This seems to be the only connection to T***M i can find. Im a bit new to this so maybe the dude can throw more light on things.

yep... not sure what to make of it, is it a coincidence that a new company was formed a week before the loan appears under the same name as the loan borrower.? and the new company is based in york, i would guess about 40 mls north of the pond.

The only way to be sure is to do a map search on the Land Registry and find out who owns the land. It is easy enough to find but will cost £3. I'm not in this one so not really motivated to do the needful.
Edit: In fact, it isn't worth anyone's effort. A likely £300 allocation held for 6 months will generate just £18 before tax. Little point in throwing away £3 of that just to find the owner. If the security is solid, then that is what matters.

I think your looking in the wrong place to find out who the borrower is... Start with the valuation report; under tenure it indicates who our borrower is (as landlord - R****** Limited). A quick look on companies house for the above company, and this security (T**** Fisheries) is listed as a current charge held by the current lender, which confirms that R****** Limited is our borrower.

I'm stuck in travelodge with rubbish Internet, so my DD capabilities isn't top notch ATM. However I can't see much wrong with it; it's only a tiddler and the security is going to increase in value quickly. PP should be easy to get AFAICS. Looks better than a graveyard... ;-)

littleoldlady Thanks, so should i just set my PF @ £300 and that likely what i'll get? It depends on what others do. The simple answer is that for loans <£1m just PF what you would like to get. You will either get that or less, never more. (Two of us gave similar answers so I deleted mine - looks like the other one did too.)

May aswell set it higher just in case, you never know with all the negative sentiment. Or just do a portfolio sized prefund, then you can complain at how little you got
