Have found that FC has rejected my bank details when I try to withdraw money, even though it has been used for deposits and withdrawals for years. They have demanded a screenshot of my bank statement to prove who I am, but my bank does not provide these - my name and address is never shown. Is this a blip in the coding, or is FC running short of cash and delaying returning monies to investors? Anyone else affected?

You guys and gals that spend half your life here know all the threads. Us in and outers can never be up to date. But thanks for the pointer. Am too busy to f*** around with photoshop - F***ing C**** will have to come up with something else.

I sympathise with thread overload (and the FC forum is rather quiet these days, compared to SS for instance) - You can always try 'search' .. it sort of works, usually (although it only searches the locality you are in when you ask it, iirc).

Just to be a little more direct, is this an exercise of moderator superpowers or just a helpful post from a fellow forumite? Just so we can make sure that there is sufficient room next to chielamangus on the naughty step for those of us who cannot recall every thread since Assetz Andrew created the board from his dark materials.
(Yes, the reference to Paradise Lost is intended to be a comment on how things have changed since then with Finally Cashing-in.)

My online banking doesn't show my name and address on the screen either. Where it does, it doesn't ALSO show the account number/sort code/bank address as demanded. Not without faking one in up Photoshop Gimp. If I approached my bank and asked them "why don't you show my address on the electronic statement", they'd probably point out that only a numpty would need to be told their own address on a statement delivered electronically. So it would fall to me to explain which numpty needs this ...  So glad to still have paper statements, despite the constant greeny enviro-nagging from the bank to switch them off.

Interesting. My Barclays statements can be downloaded as pdf and stored. They have everything on them, same as the posted version. Easily accepted by FC.

Not sure about downloadable PDF -- I've not tried those.
However you will note that FC asked for a screenshot of your online banking, not a PDF statement. Certainly, the address doesn't appear on the screenshot of mine, unless I put it there, and then it makes a nonsense of the whole "security" angle to this exercise.

I sent them a downloaded PDF statement from my company account and it was accepted within the hour. I suspect their mention of a screenshot is simply because every online banking service is different and not all offer PDF downloads (although they should!).

My bank doesn't include the address, but I sent it to FC with a note explaining this and they accepted it within the hour; though it was for the account I'd used for withdrawals since (literally) the dawn of FC.

Even with a PDF, I still take a screenshot and fire up photoshop to blank out all the stuff that FC (or whoever) have no right to see (like the transaction list!).
