I noticed a full page advert from Crowdstacker in this weeks MoneyWeek (Issue 746 page 19). First loan is a £3m whopper to a property group offering 6.8% pa over 3 years "secured on UK property". Minimum investment £700 and they have an early bird offer that expires 24th June of an extra 6 weeks interest. I've not looked into this any further, so do your own research if tempted. Unless they have a large pocketed underwriter on hand, I can't see this going anywhere.

They are targeting the TC type lenders who have deeper pockets, but it will be interesting to see if this will get funded. Like a lot of newer companies it is operating a "we decide the rate" model rather than letting lenders decide the rate, which may be harder to attract funds initially.

No objection to new entrants into the P2P world and whether they decide the rate or 'allow' lenders to set it is up to the platform. The question is though, as always, what are they offering which is superior to what is available from the more established lenders. Simply setting up a web site and following what's already available doesn't cut it with me. So maybe they would care to take the time and introduce themselves along with the advantages of using them.

nice write up, not sure I understand how your compare tool is supposed to work. Tried it and gave up. Hugs

Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the feedback. Would you mind giving me a little more info around the comparison tool, please? Main things you struggled with. This version of the tool is the 1st iteration after our MVP, so is certainly still a work in progress.
All and any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Hi, We've created a review of the new investment opportunity launched on Crowdstacker. B******N**** Ltd is seeking £3.5m over 3 years, returning 7% p.a. The loan is secured on a first charge debenture on B******N***** assets and the business, plus its principal subsidiaries. www.orcamoney.com/Thanks, Jordan (Orca Money)

Hi jordan, nice review - I hadn't realised you get free beer for investing in this! As someone had pointed out on another post, this company had already raised money for investors at 14% rather than 7% on ablrate. You can pick it up on the SM at 14.76% APR with a mid 2019 maturity. Would be interesting to see analysis on the differences between the two offers or hear your thoughts on this.

Interested to know more thoughts on crowdstacker. Has anyone else used/using this site? Seems a viable option for using the IFISA?

www.crowdstacker.com/ offering fairly decent rates for differing terms, with one investment offering 7% for a 3 year term and can be sheltered in an IFISA. They have full FCA permissions. Anyone invested with these? Or took advantage of the IFISA through this platform yet?

We have comprised an up-to-date Crowdstacker Investment Review, including details of new products and input from CEO, Karteek Patel, regarding their IFISA: www.orcamoney.com/blog/Crowdstacker-Investment-Review-2016We will be publishing an interview recently conducted with Karteek in the coming week as well. Reviving an old thread as I didn't find any other suitable place to post about Crowdstacker.
They seem to have pivoted their offering to mainly PDLs (Property Development Loans) now. They've had quite a few recently, roughly one per month for about a year now. All second charge loans, so at the higher risk end. An ISA option is available.
Anyway, they seem to go rather quickly, usually within a day. I noticed that there's a new one on the site now, but they don't seem to have advertised it yet, so lots of availability despite it being relatively small. It's a 12 month loan with an LTGDV (including fees and interest) of 77% paying 15%. Minimum Loan is £100.
I've invested in a few of their recent offerings. I've only had one partial repayment so far, so can't comment on how well they run to timescales yet. One of the drawbacks is that there's usually around a month's cash drag before the loans start, so you need to figure that into the rates.
